'The heart and mind are the true lens of the camera'. Yousuf Karsh
It is beautiful to see how life evolves, as if we were waves with its comes and goes, evolving with the tides rhythm.
Through this profession, as a family photographer, I have been able to witness how many of the families that I once photographed on their wedding day, have grown; babies who are born to conquer the world, little brothers that appear to keep company to the ones that were already there, pets that make the family core grows, etc. Time never stops, second after second, minute after minute, day after day, but at the end we are always here and now. In the present moment where we are. Not who we were or who we will be, just who we are. And it is exactly there where I love being and photograph the people who are in front of me. Thus, when you become your future you, who right now doesn’t exist, you will be able to see how you were, and in what moment of your existence you were. And for a moment you will be able to go back to that place thanks to original family pictures you decided to take in the past.
For me the true power of photography lives in the capacity of recapturing a whole story with just one picture. With only one picture we could feel again a mixture of emotions and feelings that will make us come back to that moment in the past where those others who we were, look and talk to us.
With the photography of families and couples this gains an incredible strength. Through it I have realized how fast life goes by, and the beauty of each instance, whatever it is. That is the reason why it is very important to keep our best memories. Being able to immortalize them, preserve the family pictures and, furthermore, doing it in a funny and original way.
